TV documentary airs

30th April 2015: “Air na Rigs (Life Offshore)”, our hour long documentary was first shown on BBC ALBA to great review.  With unprecedented access, viewers were taken on a journey to see what it is really like to work offshore in the North Sea.

Before anyone can travel to an installation, even for a day they have to complete a five day survival training course.  Starting at the heliport, and following a group doing their survival training, we then fly to Buzzard and Golden Eagle where we learn about daily life on an oil platform, including the E120 drilling rig.

April Filming

Filming continues for our 10 x 30 min observational documentary TV series on Scottish vets.  This month we’ve been to Highland Wildlife Park with vet Jane Harley as she knocked out some animals for treatment or tests, including a young Bison, a lively Markhor and a beautiful Kiang stallion.

The Wildlife Rescue Centre at Fishcross in Clackmannanshire has been busy dealing with injured or orphaned newborns.  We film vet Romain Pizzi on one of his weekly visits as he treats baby red squirrels, baby rabbits and fox cubs.

And, we had a week in Wick during the calving and lambing season, which included a late night Caesarian section on a farm, where the calf’s life was in danger.
